Q: Every time I masturbate I don't come.  I don't do any drugs and I eat right.  What is wrong and what can I do?

A: A number of factors can make erection and/or orgasm and ejaculation difficult or impossible during sexual activity whether it be with another person or during self stimulation.  Some of these factors include stress, fatigue, alcohol use, depression, and anxiety.  Scheduling an appointment with a health care provider will enable you to get a medical assessment of your situation and will allow you to discuss your concern with a professional in greater detail.  If you feel anxiety, stress or depression might be a significant contributing factor, talking with a counselor might also be helpful.  UA students can make an appointment to see a health care provider at (520) 621-6490 and/or a Counseling and Psych Services counselor at (520) 621-3334 at Campus Health at very little cost.
